About Sophiia, Director of deFaia Mentoring Services

Sophiia (PhD Candidate, MRes, PGCert, BSc
(Hons), MBPsS) is a Clinical Psychology
researcher at Solent University, where her
work explores the lived experience of Binge
Eating Disorder.

She has several years of experience as a
Specialist Mental Health & ASC Mentor and
also offers private mentoring focused on
academic support or professional development.
Sophiia is the CEO of emBodiED Support, a
community interest company dedicated to
improving resources for individuals affected
by Binge Eating Disorder.

Upon completing her doctorate, she plans to
open a specialist counselling service for people
with eating disorders. Her areas of expertise
include mental health, ASC, ADHD, and
academic and professional mentoring.
